Meet the Artist: Hilke MacIntyre x 2019 Release

Meet Hilke MacIntyre and the art piece for our 2019 Release Single Malt.

Hilke MacIntyre, originally from Germany, has lived in Fife since 1995 and is known as a specialist in linocutting: a traditional and highly skilled craft, derived from woodcutting. Hilke created the art piece, titled ‘St Andrews’ for the presentation box of our 2019 Release Art of St Andrews Collection. The artwork is inspired by pivotal moments in Eden Mill’s story and features famous landmarks of the St Andrews and Guardbridge coastline – a place we at Eden Mill are proud to call home.

The Art of St Andrews 

The Art of St Andrews is a collection of Single Malt whiskies, created by our Head Distiller, Scott Ferguson. Eden Mill plans to commission Fife-based artists to produce hand-crafted artworks to adorn future releases of the Art of St Andrews collection, adding unique character to the limited-edition whiskies. Each interpretation will come from a different art medium, showcasing the talent of the region and the synergy of all art forms, from distilling to canvas.
